but I have no idea what to talk about.
I have been doing a lot of crocheting, but I promised that I wouldn't be a pest about it on this blog, that's why I started the other one.
the kids have been going to school for a few weeks now, but that's just a lot of 'same old, same old...'
the weather has been pretty nice with the exception of last week on Thursday when it rained and rained 9 - 10 inches in one day. not at all normal rain fall for this part of the world. we usually get about 4 inches in a month. There was a lot of flooding. the rivers are up very high and many people have been flooded out of their homes and a few have been flooded in. We were very blessed to only have the tiniest bit of water in the basement. Tim said there were only a couple of damp spots. that basement is about 100 years old so I think that's pretty darn good, especially since we live between two lakes.
I haven't taken any pictures of the floods, but I have to say that I haven't seen the river this high EVER. and it has been longer than my life since our closest river exceeded what it is now.
my Emma is going to be getting baptized in a couple of weeks. I am getting some things ready for that but I still have to ask people to speak and get the husband ready for preforming the baptism and the confirmation. He hasn't exorcised his priesthood for a while and has always been nervous about it anyway.
her scriptures have been ordered and engraved and are on the way. and I am making her a scripture case, something different than everyone else's cases.
next thing to plan will be her birthday and presents. I'm feeling a little behind on my planning - for that and for Christmas. but at least she's my easiest kid to shop for.
