Farmer's Market Opener

and I made a grand total of $0.00!

maybe it was just too hot or maybe I just can't cater to the people around here.

I've thought about opening an etsy shop but I'm not sure yet. I'll have to figure out the cost to do that.

:(

please comment with ideas... what do you think I should make and try to sell?

Were you at the farmer's market in Mankato? If so, the construction going on right there is probably a bit of a hindrance for those who aren't "regulars" at the market. That said, I think baby hats are always a hit, BUT part of the problem might be that it was in the 80's today and not too many people think about hats (especially crocheted or knitted hats) when it's hot outside. Even if they're buying as shower gifts or something, not just for their own babies. Looking into an Etsy shop might not be a bad idea if the cost isn't too bad. Worth checking out at least.

No, not in Mankato. We have a minute local farmer's market. and when I say minute I mean teeny tiny.
there were three other vendors there besides me and Anna.

Anna did well, though, so that was good.
I do suspect the weather didn't help. but I did have cute bags and toys for sale too... but still 80 degrees and yarn don't usually go together.

as for an etsy shop... I looked into it a bit tonight and it wouldn't cost too much, in fact it is pretty reasonable. but I'm still scared.

I suppose I just need a little encouragement... perhaps from someone who has an etsy shop who does pretty decently there.
