Ummm, what was that all about? What was the frustration of the day? And you ARE really talented! You do things with yarn that I can only dream about.
the frustration explanation could get pretty lengthy... and it kind of spans over years but I guess I just always feel mediocre. everyone can do everything better than me and then something happened the other day that really struck me... kind of like keeping me in my "you're not so special" place.
I would just really like it if there could be something about me that set me apart from others. something that made me special, but I am always being reminded of how I'm not unique in any way.
I can't be astoundingly beautiful... after 5 kids that's a promise.
but I'm never going to be successful at anything else either.
so I had to get that out of my system because there's only so many dry spots on Tim's shoulder and I'm sure he's tired of having wet shoulders
I'm sorry Abby! If it's any consolation, you're not the only one who feels that way. I always feel very mediocre, too. Some people are known for that "one thing" they do so well and everyone looks up to them for it and they seem to be so well known for it. We want to be one of those people, but you know what? We are! Well, at least you are. MANY people in the ward (they're really the only ones I know who know you too!) have mentioned in conversations how talented you are and how you make such great and amazing things. So many people love your hats, gloves and especially the jewelry. You are spoken about in a really GOOD way a lot and you really are known for your talent. Please try not be so hard on yourself, even though I know it's hard not to at times. We are both talented, and people look up to us for those talents. It's just not so easy for us to see very often.
I think you are very special. You are the most wonderful mom and I am so proud to introduce you as my daughter. Tim loves you sooooo much and I do not think you really can understand how much I love you as you make Tim so happy and proud. I think you know how much I love Tim and I can see, feel and know that he loves you more than anything. You gave him 5 beautiful children and he loves them and is so proud to be their dad.
God loved you before you were even born Abby.
